My mixed media painting style began around the time I witnessed the metamorphosis of my hometown, Dublin, from a self conscious city to one that openly celebrates its diversity. This is reflected in Dublinski, where each intricate component is a vital part to the smooth running of the entire organism. Dublinski is a nickname that some Russian friends gave to the city, presenting her in a fresh light. Made in 2007 during Ireland’s most recent economic boom. Cranes dominated the skyline as shiny new glass and mirrored structures mushroomed up alongside grand old Georgian gems of buildings.
This website is organised into themed cityscapes and beach themed works called Driftwood Beasties, which has its own shop. I will add a pricelist for the paintings on this site very soon.
